             Drink From the Well

Welcome!

The Apostle Paul highly praised a group for being noble (honorable, impressive, virtuous) in character who lived in a city called Berea (Acts 17:11-14). Their noble characters were not only shown in their eagerness and desire to receive Truth but also in their thorough examination to determine Truth (…rightly dividing the Word of Truth - 2 Tim 2:15).  As a result of hearing the Word and by also studying the Word, many believed.

Thayer’s Greek Lexicon defines Berea as “well watered” because it was physically located at the foot of Mount Bermius and was known for its’ many streams (waters) flowing thru it.  Spiritually, Berea would also become “well watered” as a result of their hunger for God’s Word, their thirst for Truth and their desire to abide in Truth.  John 4:10-14 and John 7:38-39 states that whosoever believes in Christ and drinks of the Living Water (the Holy Spirit) shall satisfy his thirst for God. They too shall be wells of water springing up into everlasting life and shall have rivers of Living Water flowing from their hearts.
